Always linked to the refined and complex watercolor technique, Davide Benati gives life to a universe of fluctuating, transitory and fleeting forms, expressed through a cultured painting, made up of suggestions and literary and personal memories; his figures draw on the world of nature, but "the flowers and leaves become a pure pictorial organism, a microcosm inhabited by delicate and wonderful chromatic games, by broad tonal layers, by barely shadowed spatialities, in which the viewer's gaze is invited to enter to get lost in the impalpable enchantment of the surface” (F.
