Oil painting on canvas. Signed lower left. Francisco Bajen's pictorial art is characterized by vivid colours, to define almost geometrically intertwined human figures, which fill the whole scene. The female figure is recurring, although placed in very different environments and contexts: alongside girls sitting at the bar or intent on playing cards, there are also figures from the sacred repertoire, such as these as pious women who accompany Jesus on his Calvary, with Veronica showing the Holy Shroud. The work is presented in a frame.
