Description : Paesaggio con ruscello

Oil painting on canvas. Signed lower right. A glimpse of the countryside, crossed in the center by a stream, along the bank of which overlooks a farmhouse. Filippo Palizzi renewed 19th-century Neapolitan painting by dedicating himself to the study from life, above all of the humblest subjects and farm animals, creating works of intense realism but permeated by an intimate poetic intonation. He distinguished himself above all for the executive meticulousness of the details of the subjects portrayed, as in this landscape, where the realism of the ivy on the embankment wall, the fronds of the trees, the murky colors of the stagnant water of the canal stands out. The work is presented in a period frame.
