Description : Ricamo con San Sebastiano

Silk thread embroidery, with painted background. XVIII-XIX century. The figure of the saint is depicted while he is being tortured by arrows, tied to the trunk of a tree; next to him on the ground, his helmet, a symbol of his belonging to the Roman militias. The embroidery is presented in a gilded frame from the mid-1800s, with stucco drop on the upper corner.
