Description

Comtoise pendulum clock in lacquered fir, Darney (France) late 19th century. Faux wood lacquered structure with painted floral decorations and engraved motifs. Enamelled metal display with Roman numerals; exhibition frame and lyre pendulum in gilded and partially painted stamped sheet metal, depicting peacocks, vases, garlands of flowers and fruit, riches and "C-Shaped" elements. Dial signed "DUPUPET à Darney". Coeval mechanism.
