Oil painting on canvas. Signed lower left. Further signature, title and date on the back. The wide production of the Ancona painter Mario Lupo, including seagulls, waiting women, olive trees, nudes, masks, markets, Christs, processions, landscapes of the Conero, is characterized by a highly personal three-stage technique: he always started from the drawing, then added a drafting of pastels to give the first trace to the color and finally he put the oil color, spread with the spatula (he abandoned the brush very soon) in a material consistency that varied according to the part of the drawing he painted. Here is a spring glimpse of the coast, probably the Ancona coast, where the flowers stand out both for the colors and for the material consistency of the colour, to bring out their liveliness. The work is presented in a frame.
