Description : Paesaggio con rovine e figure

Oil painting on canvas. Old-fashioned painting that takes up the forms of 17th-18th century painting, in particular it looks at architectural caprices, or landscape views with inserted architectural elements, remains or ruins that look to the classical world. Set along a sea coast, with figures of fishermen on their boats and commoners along the brambles, the painting is dominated by the remains of a temple, with tall columns and a golden statue on a high pedestal. The painting has a small drop of color in the center, and a scratch on the canvas on the left. It is presented in a contemporary carved wooden frame.
