Oil painting on canvas. Signed lower right. The title on the back. The work belongs to Franco Rognoni's second period, in which having recovered from the existential crisis that had distracted him from easel pictorial art, he resumed painting with forms inspired by a fantastic vision of life, supported by vivid colour. His painting, which appeared dark and tormented, becomes less obsessive, acquiring freer forms inspired by a fantastic vision, in which, as in this work, it is the sketched drawing with a few black lines that creates arabesques over the play of color of the background, evoking here the evocative atmosphere of a dawn. The work is presented in a frame.
