Oil painting on canvas. Signed lower right. On the back further signature with declaration of authenticity. It is the work of the important Italian painter Remo Brindisi (1918-1996) whose painting, linked in his youthful works to a descriptive and realistic framework, adds expressionist nuances in his maturity, giving life to his own neofigurative language. His production is always imbued with social and political intentions. Among his recurring themes, in addition to "Pastorals", "Opponents", the "Venices", there are these "Maternities", depictions of two faces close together, that of a mother and a son about to exchange a tender kiss. Work in frame.
