Description : Terre trovate N. 4
Nine terracotta tiles, engraved and applied on wood. Signature and date lower right. On the back there is a further signature, with the title of the work and the stamp of the artist's studio. The names of places are engraved on the nine tiles, with dates, times and references to facts, making it a sort of travel diary. Nedda Guidi was not a ceramist, but rather a sculptor who used the ceramic medium, a constantly evolving language with which she built the ideal bridge between the abstract sculpture of the 1950s and the large conceptual installations of the 1970s. The composition is mounted in a glass case.
