Description : Ritratto di Alberto Lovatelli di Ravenna

Oil on canvas. Large portrait of the canon depicted standing in his study, his hand resting on the top of the desk holding a letter addressed to a friend in Rome; the man is in a cassock, surmounted by a white cape. At the top left is the coat of arms of the Lovatelli family, a historic Ravenna family, and the inscription identifying the man portrayed, with the age of 67 and the date the portrait was painted, 1655. On the bottom right is the name of the portrait's author 'Ioannis Mancinus Romanum fecit'. The painting, restored and retouched, is presented in an antique frame.
