Oil on cardboard. Signed lower right. On the back there is a label showing the work at the artist's personal exhibition at the Galleria "Bottega d'Arte Salvetti" in Milan, in 1939. There is also a personal dedication by the artist, with autograph signature. A Leghorn artist of the Labronico Group, Giovanni Lomi devoted himself to the production of figures and landscapes, expressing a strong lyricism especially in his seascapes. He was also a discreet baritone and knew how to combine his love of music with that of painting. Growing up in the country in a family of poor social background, he developed a love for nature and animals, which were often the subjects of his works. The work is presented in a frame.
