Description : Venezia, San Marco

Oil on wooden board. Signed lower left. Further signature and title on the back. Angelo Pavan, originally from Vicenza, dedicated himself mainly to landscapes, preferring lagoon, Venetian and Chioggia subjects. Initially close to divisionism, he then moved his pictorial technique towards the use of broader and more mellow brushstrokes. The painting is presented in a frame.
