Description
Meissen porcelain table service marked with blue-coloured crossed swords. This service, with slightly wavy, gold-edged edges, is painted in the centre of the plates with a leafy twig with a large rose and a bud. On the brim rose buds are placed symmetrically. This 'classic' and 'romantic' decoration by Meissen takes up a motif from the Bidermeier period that was very popular in Germany and Austria in the first half of the 19th century. The red rose has always been a symbol of love and the Meissen rose has been very successful from its appearance to the present day. Dinner service consisting of: 1 soup tureen, 35 dinner plates, 11 soup plates, 1 gravy boat with spoon, 1 legume bowl, 1 salad bowl, 8 serving plates, 23 fruit or bread plates. Tea and coffee set consisting of: teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, 12 tea cups with 11 saucers and 11 coffee cups with 11 saucers. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
