Oil on cardboard. The painting, unsigned, presents a scene set in the countryside, near a watercourse: three children huddle around a small fire, almost intimidated by the hunter standing in front of them, who perhaps wants to benefit for a moment from the heat of the small bonfire; in the distance an indistinct female figure carries wood. The work is presented in a stylish gilded frame.
