Description : Paesaggio boschivo

Oil on wooden board. Signed lower left. Specializing in landscape painting, the painter Romeo Borgognoni mainly depicted glimpses of the Pavia countryside, in a style which, although with realist rigor, draws on impressionism for its bright and vibrant brushstrokes. Here too a glimpse of the wooded countryside of the Pavia area is presented, with a small stream that winds among the plants. The work is presented in a gilded frame from the late 19th century.
