Description : Ritratto di ragazzo

Crayons on paper. Signed left center. Focusing in landscape painting, the painter Romeo Borgognoni mainly depicted glimpses of the Pavia countryside, in a style which, albeit with realist rigor, draws on impressionism for its bright and vibrant brushstrokes. Instead, a portrait is presented here, that of a boy, with a thoughtful, almost melancholy look, sober in his white shirt. The work is presented in a late 19th - early 20th century setting.
