Description : Sant' Ilario ed Angeli
Embroidery with painted details, corresponding to the faces, hands and torsos of the figures. The bishop's miter and crosier are embroidered with silver threads, embellished with colored beads. Hilary was a bishop, theologian and Latin philosopher born in Poitiers in around 315, appointed father and doctor of the Church in 1821. He was an appreciated writer of theology, exegesis and hymns. He is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church and the Anglican Communion. He is the patron saint of the city of Parma. The work is presented in a contemporary frame.
