Description
Pair of ceramic busts of Roman Emperors resting on ceramic columns, produced by Tommaso Barbi in the 1970s. Columns with hexagonal base in white glazed ceramic adorned with gold profiles, shaft imitating red breccia marble; busts portraying the emperors Hadrian and a young Octavian, both taken from a pair of busts preserved in the Uffizi in Florence. Faces and bases in terracotta, clothing in white glazed ceramic with cloak to recall the marble of the shaft. Columns marked "b ceramiche per Tommaso Barb. made in Italy" under the base.
