Oil painting on canvas. Northern European school of the late 19th century. Undeciphered signature lower left. Inside the shoemaker's shop, the craftsman sitting at his desk explains to the woman standing next to him the work to do on a pair of children's boots. All around, the details of the poor shop, note the flask of wine hanging on the coat hanger on the right! The work is presented in a contemporary gilded frame.
