Oil on the table. Signed lower right. The beautiful composition, a still life, offers a patch of red and yellow fruits, namely cherries and medlars, resting on a white tablecloth and reflecting in the water of the glass behind them. It expresses the style of Vincenzo Ciardo well, the Apulian painter who, starting from a naturalistic painting of a realist nature, then veered towards a post-impressionist style. The work is presented in a contemporary frame, with several shortcomings.
