Oil on the table. At the bottom left, on the rock, there is the signature (unidentified) and the date 29 June 1885 with the writing "Souvenir", indicating that the small painting was created in memory of a journey. Furthermore, on the protruding spur of the rock, right in the center of the painting, the name of the location is mentioned, Bunte Kuh is the name of an extraordinary rock outcrop in the Ahr valley near Walporzheim in Rhineland-Palatinate, considered the symbol of the Aurina Valley and protected as a natural monument. The painting is presented in an early 20th century frame. .
