Description : Adorazione dei Magi

Oil painting on canvas. Venetian school of the 18th century. The scene tells the evangelical moment of the three wise men who, guided by the comet star, came from the East to adore the Baby Jesus. The composition full of figures sees the Holy Family on the left, in front of a period building, the three kings at the center and right, with their background entourage, and the star shining above, radiating its light along a line that reaches directly to the Holy Child. The painting takes inspiration from the models of the Bassano school. Restored and relined, with widespread small discolouration. It is presented in a 19th century frame.
