Oil painting on canvas. Dutch school of the 19th century. Signature at the bottom right and attribution plate to Al.Thevenin, with the title in French "Luz de luna en Volendam". The painting offers a night view, illuminated by the full moon, of a town overlooking a wide canal, navigated by boats: the title refers to Volendam, a village and fishing port on the south-eastern coast of North Holland, crossed by numerous navigable canals. The work is presented in a mid-20th century style frame.
