Description
Empire chest of drawers in walnut veneered with mahogany and mahogany, front with four drawers of which the first is projecting, half truncated pyramidal columns with base and capital in worked and gilded bronze. Finely chiseled and gilded bronze escutcheons and applications. Ebonized feral feet and gilded leaf carvings. Top in gray Bardiglio marble. Iron locks with visible brass plate, that of the second drawer with double lock to close the first. Probable production of Manfredini bronzes. Milan, early 19th century.
