Silkscreen on canvas applied to hardboard. Signed lower left. The print proposes one of Michele Cascella's recurring subjects, especially in his production after the Second World War, namely the views of Portofino, taken from different angles and perspectives. Presented here is a view from a flowered railing of a house overlooking the wide canal that gives access to the port; on the hill in front you can recognize the church of San Giorgio. With a distinctive style that mixes impressionism and realism, Cascella resorts to a bold use of color in his works, to capture the atmosphere and emotion of the landscapes he depicts, to convey his strong affinity for nature and the surrounding world. Work in frame.
