Description : San Giovanni Evangelista

Oil on canvas. It depicts Saint John the Evangelist, with his hands clasped and his gaze turned upwards. It is probably taken from or inspired by a painting of the Crucifixion, in which the Saint stands at the foot of the Cross, turning his gaze towards the dying Christ. The young, rosy face and the bright red cloak, which iconographically distinguishes the saint, make the figure stand out against the uniformly dark background. The painting, already relined, has small losses of color. In a strip frame.
