Color chalcography. Signed and numbered lower center, copy no. 16/75. Medhat Shafik, an Egyptian artist trained at the Brera Academy in Milan, lives and works in Italy. His works are characterized by a dense expressive charge, physical and material, which alternates with a more meditative and spiritual dimension. Shafik is part of a singular group of artists called Magnetists, his unique style tells fabulous and metahistorical worlds through the abstract sign. In the endless search for himself, for his own personal archaeology, through the history of Egypt, Shafik ends up telling the story of all humanity, returning a universal message of tolerance and mutual understanding. The work is presented in a frame.
