Description : Lido

Colored pencils on paper. Signature, title and date lower right. On the back there is a label from Galleria Ponte Rosso in Milan, with the specifications of the work. An artist born in Modena but who lived mainly in Milan, Vellani Marchi had a particular predilection for the lagoon city and in particular for the island of Burano, which became recurring subjects in his artistic production. He was a painter but also a designer and illustrator, collaborating with Milanese publishing, as well as a set and costume designer for the Teatro alla Scala. Here is one of his drawings, a sketch that presents a glimpse of the Lido Venezia outlined with delicate and poetic colors. Framed.
