Oil on canvas. Signed lower right. Ivan Karpoff, of Russian origin but raised and artistically established in Italy, was appreciated for his painting oriented towards the Italian impressionistic realism of the late 19th century; he devoted himself mainly to landscapes and portraits. His production also includes floral compositions, such as this one presented in which the impressionist component is evident in the play of light, in the shaded colors, in the overlapping brush strokes. The work is presented in a frame.
