The iconic bamboo bag was created in 1947 in the post-war period, when traditional materials were scarce and Guccio Gucci, together with the Maison's artisans, decided to use bamboo, light and resistant, for the handle of a new bag. This one, in cream, red and green, is a model from the late '50s, early '60s. Today the Maison still produces it with revisitations).
