Description : Paesaggio con figure

Oil on canvas. Northern Italian school of the 18th century. On the back there are stamps of the Santerasmo Club, a historic art gallery in Milan. In the verdant landscape, where a stream winds through the hills, a shepherd with his cows walks along the path in the foreground, while other figures can be glimpsed in the fields. The figures are not meant to stand out, but are rather inserted as a harmonious part of the landscape, in which they blend in with the other elements thanks to the use of uniform colors. Restored and relined, the painting is presented in a gilded frame in style.
