Description : Compianto su Cristo morto

Oil on copper. The composition shows Mary and the pious women (John?) weeping over the inert body of Christ taken down from the Cross, forming a compact group at the center of which is the Mater Dolorosa. The painting is presented in a 19th century frame. On the back is a label indicating ownership by a previous owner.
