Oil on panel. Venetian school of the 16th century. Presented in the foreground, the two adult figures of Mary and Joseph watch over the sleeping Baby Jesus on the lap of his Mother, who tenderly makes the gesture of covering him, while the little John the Baptist observes, flanked by the head of a lamb, his iconographic symbol. On the back of the panel there is an inscription attributing it to Polidoro da Lanciano (1515 - 1565), a Venetian painter who created panels of the same subject. On the panel there are traces of old paint losses, restored.
