Description : Paesaggio con figure

Oil on canvas. Signed and dated 1850 lower left. The landscape offers a glimpse of the coast seen from the countryside, with some common people around a well, which are a complement to the landscape itself, in which they are well integrated chromatically. Ferdinando Manzini was famous in Modena, his hometown, especially as a set designer and decorator. His painting proposed romantic landscapes and still lifes. The painting, restored and relined, is presented in a late 19th century gilded frame.
