Oil on panel. Signed and dated lower left. An intellectual of rationalism, Bertocchi (known above all as the «Morandian painter») did not belong to any school or movement, but was an interpreter of a painting with markedly personal accents. Above all a landscape painter, Bertocchi devoted himself to a delicate and authentic naturalism, tinged with lyrical accents, creating landscapes from a very young age with a rare chromatic and luministic sensitivity. The painting is presented in a contemporary frame.
