Description : Scorcio di San Pietro

Watercolor on paper. Pencil signature Walcot lower right (slightly worn). On the back there is a cartouche with attribution. The Russian-Scottish artist William Walcot, architect, graphic artist and engraver, painted numerous views of the European cities or South Africa where he lived, in a style that made him the greatest exponent of Russian Art Nouveau. The painting is presented in an early 20th century frame.
