Description : Al lavoro in campagna

Oil on panel mounted on hardboard. Signed lower right. Carlo Domenici, one of the main exponents of the Gruppo Labronico (a group of painters founded in Livorno and active since 1920, with the aim of promoting Livorno art), dedicated his painting to the Tuscan landscape, in particular to three areas: the Maremma, with its farmers and animals working in the fields, his city Livorno and the island of Elba, where he lived in his last years until his death. Here is the view of a field in the Maremma plain, in which a farmer leads the plough, pulled by oxen. The work is presented in a period frame.
