Description : San Giuseppe con il Bambin Geù

Oil on canvas. The saint, dressed in traditional clothes, supports Baby Jesus with one arm, while with the other he holds a sprig with three lilies, an iconographic symbol of purity and spiritual guidance. The Child in turn supports with his little hand a small globe surmounted by a cross (called globo crucigero), a symbol that recognizes the supremacy of Christ (represented by the cross) over the world and earthly powers (the sphere). The painting was restored about thirty years ago, and relined while preserving the original wooden frame. It is framed with a strip.
