Oil on plywood. Signed lower right. Mario Salimbeni was a well-known Milanese painter dedicated to the production of still lives, in particular compositions of flowers and fruit that he interpreted with a notable formal technique and a realistic and detailed representation of reality. In this composition various autumn fruits appear on a table - black and white grapes, pears, apples -, alongside some dishes in different materials; on the left, a vase full of two-tone roses. The painting is presented in a contemporary guilloché frame.
