Oil on canvas. Signed and dated lower right. Agnese Mylius, heir to a prominent family of Milanese entrepreneurs, devoted herself to painting, primarily creating floral compositions in a naturalistic style. Her early work, like this one, is still very formal, but later it was partly influenced by new Lombard painting trends. The work is presented in a mid-20th-century frame.
