Origin:  England

Description

Rosewood cutlery box centered by brass shield. Inside, the cutlery is distributed in three small trays, two of which are removable, upholstered in blue velvet. The 36 pieces, 18 18 knives and forks with mother of Pearl handles are manufactured in sterling silver beautifully hand overdubbed and marked with "corona-lion-letter dataria-Queen's head". This identifies the production to that of Sheffield and sterling silver 925/1000 material (Lion). The letters marked datarie are mostly the "K" (1853/54), but some cutlery bear the 't ' (1861/62) and were thus integrated into the old. The item is in perfect condition.
