Description
Maria Francesca Rates. Mixed technique on paper. The work was exhibited at the personal exhibition of the artist "The First Race" at the Galleria CorsoVeneziaOtto in Milan, as shown in the title block paper to the back. The artist, born in S. Pellegrino Terme (BG) in 1977, currently lives and works in Milan. Rates changes the fate of the drawing, often considered to be mainly a preparatory technique, a sketch: a project for a possible definitive work. The artist designs, with the skill of a copyist, microrganisi silent, formless, floating, crawling on infinite horizons and aseptic. The accuracy and the refinement of the width of a pencil line (also thanks to the use of the pastel tones), thin and precise, it is surprising in spite of the use of media prepared with acrylic and pigments. A virtuosity that is second to none. Deal master a manual technique that only compares aesthetically with the new technologies. The artist captures the trend diary of Eva Marisaldi and Vanessa Beecroft in order to reveal a deep intimacy, but not to exceed in providing explanations, which, in his case, it takes on a flavor more overtly romantic. The seduction produced by the works of the Deal to allow a projection of our ego, the body inside of the same, though we are aware of the simulation that is based on.
