Watercolor on paper. Played in shades of gray, is fully involved in the spirit of early ' 800, centering the picture on the ruins of the ancient walls, with a shepherd with his goats, and a nuanced landscape background with mysterious caselli. In ink are shown in the lower left corner of the location (Alsace) and bottom right signature and date (1833). Presented in contemporary surroundings.
