Description
Oil on canvas, reintelato and mounted on the frame of mid ' 900, presented in the frame of the ' 700. The attributes of the Saint, a Crown and a scepter, are confirmed by the inscription affixed to the back at the time of the restoration, probably copied from original written on canvas; Likewise appears on the back the attribution to Pietro Maggi, the milanese painter of Valent early ' 700. The size of the canvas makes us think to a churchy, and furnishings in this direction is not to be excluded as its origin the milanese monastery of santa Radegonda, complex founded in 1130 and suppressed and demolished in 1781.
