Description

Oil on canvas. Signed and dated 1852 lower right. Presented in golden frame coeval. A native of Genoa, the Castagnola he has completed his studies and served his pictorial activity in this city. Just from 1852 to 1857 it was applied actively to the genre portrait, "is developing their ways to a realism that accentuates the reading data from a psychological" (Franco Sborgi, Biographical Dictionary of authors, vol. 21).
