Description : I maniscalchi

Oil on board. On the back, a scroll saying 'Collection Lazzaroni, vente à Nice 16-21 juin 1952' with reference to the auctioning of the baron Michel Ange Lazzaroni's famous collection. The scene, balanced and calm, depicts the work of the farriers. Some of them are shoeing horses, others are working within the smithy. Light colors and luminous effect, the characters are well depicted. The artist is unknown and presented in a frame of late 1800s. 17th century.

Product Condition:
Very good condition. Wear consistent with age and use. It may have been restored by an expert.
