Oil painting on plywood signed in the lower right corner. Stamp belonging to Galleria Bolzani in Milan and title of the painting on the back. Considered one of the most poetical painters of the 20th century, Ambrogio Vismara transposed his love for the natal places in his works. His painting production is characterized by Lombard landscapes depicting mountains, the plain and hills in autumn. As painting technique, he chose to use the spatula instead of the paintbrush obtaining a contrasting spots effect. His production of Eastern landscapes is smaller but still famous and documented by the brochures of exhibitions attached to the painting. In this case, he remained faithful to the same painting technique, but chose warmer and brighter colors recalling the sun of Eastern countries. In frame. 20th century.
