Oil on canvas. The dramatic scene relives a moment of the Passion of the Christ, when it is bound, stripped naked, and scourged before being loaded of the Cross. Emerges the figure in white and contorted in the suffering Christ, the side of which grows a servant east, who holds the rope of a prisoner: the two figures describe a movement almost in sync, with the two arms the left almost parallel, the busts rotated in the same direction, the faces representing in the same manner (the mouths, the same!) , but it is then the contrast between the flesh of Christ and the shades on those of the moor, between the expression of the suffering and distressed of the Christ, and that grim and tense in the effort of his torturer, contrasts that underline the different role of the characters.
