Description : Allegoria della vita in villa

Oil on canvas. The oval scene inscribed in a rectangular frame is focused on two tall trees and is dominated by a building on the right, an important noble villa; the villa is located in a flat landscape crossed by a wide steam; everywhere hum the daily life populed with several figures: in the foreground a farmer and a hunter are crossing on the path; behind there are some female figure going to the villa along with some wayfarers. The main theme recalls the painting prodution related to the venetian villas, very recurrent at the time, in which representations related to hunting, seasons marking the time and, sometimes, scenes of rural llife find space along with the mythological-allegorical "high-painting".
